Avid shock rebuild kit for AVANT shocks – 23/27.5mm shafts, X-rings, machined spacers and Slop lube (all AE B6, B7, T6, SC6 or B74)

NOTICE: This rebuild kit is only for the Avid Avant AE 13mm Shocks which use less spacers than the kit shocks. For the kit shocks please see standard AV10207

The Avid Avant AE shock rebuild kit gives you everything you need to freshen up your current Avid Avant 13mm shocks. The kit includes (2) 3×23 and (2) 3×27.5 Avid Chrome Shock Shafts, (4) Avant AE Machined Shock Spacers, (8) Avid X-Rings, and (1) Avid Slop Oring Grease. All of these items are available separately if you don’t need everything as well.

Tips

• When installing, we recommend that you place the shiny side of the washer that has rounded edges away from the piston. Doing this allows the piston to slightly spin when the screw is fully tightened down so it doesn’t deform the piston under the screw pressure.
• Once the shock is built and you are getting ready to add oil, we suggest you seat the machined shock spacers by moving the shaft side to side, this will free up the shaft movement.
